REPORTS ON DISSEMINATION OF POSH AWARENESS PAMPHLETS AND INFORMATION ON INTERNAL COMMITTEE
19th June 2026: As part of the ongoing efforts to promote a safe and respectful workplace and to create awareness on the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, the Internal Committee (IC) of the Office of the Engineer-in-Chief, PWD, conducted dissemination of awareness pamphlets and display of information relating to the Internal Committee on 19th June, 2026.
The awareness activity was led by the Presiding Officer of the Internal Committee, Pi Lalhmingsangi, Sr. Executive Engineer, along with other IC members. During the programme, pamphlets containing information on prevention of sexual harassment, complaint mechanisms, and contact details of the Internal Committee were distributed among officers and staff. Information regarding the composition and functions of the Internal Committee was also displayed prominently within the office premises.
The initiative was undertaken to enhance awareness among employees about their rights and responsibilities under the POSH Act, 2013, and to reinforce the Department's commitment towards maintaining a safe, secure and gender-sensitive work environment.
